HER PAIR, HER POWER: CREP CONNECTS WITH MICKAELA Great pairs come with great responsibility, and our women always show up. This International Women’s Month, we’re celebrating and spotlighting some of the most influential women in sneaker and fashion culture.  Concluding our Her Pair, Her Power series, we sit down with content creator Mickaela. The green queen has been blessing our gram with sneaker-related styling and reels to inspire your rotation and outfit choices. Now, we get the lowdown on what it’s really like to be in her sneakers.Read the full interview below: Crep Protect: Hey Mickaela, thanks for taking time out of your day to chat with us here at Crep Protect. How's 2026 been treating you so far?Mickaela: Sup family 💚This year has had its ups and downs, as life does! But I’m happy to say I’ve had some exciting opportunities and I hope my year continues to provide them, including this one! CP: For people who are unfamiliar with you and your work, could you tell us a little bit about yourself?M: I’m Mickaela Summer Vine. I'm 30 years old, and you may know me as “the green queen”, which I proudly named myself, being a lover of all things green. I make fashion and sneaker-related content in my spare time, which I hope to do full-time one day. Music is a huge passion of mine, and I always take time to find the sound that I find fits with my content and helps tell a story of my love for fashion! Stranger Things is the best series out there, don’t @ me. I also love to skateboard, though I haven’t learnt to kickflip yet, but there’s still time! CP: When was the first time you realised you had a love for sneakers/ fashion?M: I’ve loved sneakers for as long as I can remember, and anything that builds a good fit, but actually collecting them seriously, it’s been about 8 years. Fashion-wise, I’ve experimented with many aesthetics/phases from when I started school! Though I was always a stylish queen when I was younger, repping some funky car boot cops and anything pre-loved has always kept me stepping correct. I’ll never forget my swaggy K-Swiss tongue twisters and the pair you could change the side panels on! And a fresh pair of superstars. But before sneakers came creepers - anyone even remember those? CP: As a self-proclaimed green queen, we know you have a creative eye for piecing out the perfect outfit.M: This sentence alone makes me feel like I’ve made it. CP: Could you talk us through your styling process?M: Organised chaos for real. My style is mostly represented by my moods and how I am feeling that day. Managing anxiety since I was young meant my life has always kinda felt a little all over the place. However, when I am putting my fits together and mood-boarding my ideas, exploring fashion and my personal style, things feel a bit quieter. "In a sense, I feel some form of peace expressing and representing myself through what I wear and how I wear it. I really just go with whatever feels right in the moment, and my style is a real mixed bag of vibes, which I love. I will keep you guessing what’s next for sure." When creating, I draw a lot of inspiration from the outdoors, weather, forests and any greenery or wildlife. It’s something that really gets my creative juices flowing and helps me plan freely. Challenging my own creativity by wearing vibrant colours and out-there pieces definitely allows me to be more confident in clothing and silhouettes I might not have tried before. Accessories are also KEY!  CP: If you could only wear one pair of sneakers for the rest of your life, which pair would you choose?M: What a tough question! It would have to be my Nike Air Max 95 Neon big bubble. I’m looking to double up on these when they drop in March, as they are such a stylish and comfortable grail with some cool history behind them. CP: What sneaker would you like to have your own signature colab on? What would this colab look like?M: Air Max 95s are my all-time favourite, being a 1995 baby, it feels like a calling to love them! But it’s also down to the craft, from the panelling all the way down to the stitching. Unsurprisingly, it would have to have a heavy green theme pulling from its roots. I like to think it’d take some “Shego” inspired tones, exploring what I could create with green and darker textures.  CP: How do you keep your sneaker collection fresh?M: I don’t go anywhere without my Crep Protect Wipes, and my rotations always sit in Crep Protect Crates for easy access. For anything special (most of them), I’m so guilty of swapping fresh laces out when I need to!  "Care is key, I look after my creps so they look after me!"  CP: As you know, it's International Women's Month. What does IWM mean to you? M: Firstly, Big up all my fellow women, this is our month to take in all our achievements and highlight what we all can accomplish and already have! This month is nothing but inspiration for everyone around us. Fashion has always helped me feel more confident being a woman, and I feel like it’s only important to acknowledge people who are spreading their light and paving the way for our community. CP: What change would you like to see in the sneaker industry in the next 5 years?M: I’d love to see more community-driven projects like the “OFFSPRING x Nike SNDRS”.  My community built their concept into reality, from the ground up, they made a crep by the people for the people! We need more of this! The people who love to collect or to step. The people on the ground designing more in community-driven projects just seem so exciting, and the possibilities to me are endless!  CP: Mickaela, it's been a pleasure! Are there any words of advice you'd like to share with the Crep Protect family?M: Thanks for having me, guys. I’m super grateful for the call-up. I’d say if you love something, wear it. Or try it at least! Pushing your style limits will support you in growing as a person and finding your most authentic self! Don’t be afraid to go against the grain and stand out, even if it feels uncomfortable at first. I promise it’ll pay off.  Oh, and WEAR YOUR SNEAKERS! 💚Thank you so much for this opportunity, guys. It’s been so fun!! 💚Make sure you keep it locked in with the latest with Crep Daily   Her Pair, Her Power: Crep Connects With Mickaela NIKE MAKES A BOLD STATEMENT WITH THE AIR FORCE 1 LOW ‘BLACK PATENT’ Nike is giving one of its most talked-about silhouettes a formal upgrade with the release of the Nike Air Force 1 Low ‘Black Patent’.Introduction:A glossy rework that flips the narrative on one of sneaker culture’s most revered colorways. For decades, the 'Triple Black' Air Force 1 has lived a double life. On one hand, it’s a street staple; on the other, it carries a tongue-in-cheek reputation tied to mischief and mayhem. Now, Nike reframes that identity entirely.By swapping out the traditional matte leather for a high-shine patent finish, the brand transforms Bruce Kilgore’s 1983 design into something unexpectedly refined, a sneaker that wouldn’t look out of place beneath tailored trousers or even a tuxedo. Design Details:The execution is simple but effective. Every panel across the upper is dressed in glossy patent leather, catching light from every angle and elevating the silhouette’s visual presence. Inside, a classic leather lining ensures comfort remains a priority, subtly upgrading the feel without overcomplicating the formula. Even the signature lace dubrae has been removed, streamlining the design and allowing the sleek finish to take center stage. Despite the formal makeover, the DNA remains untouched. You still get the iconic Air Force 1 structure, the padded collar, perforated toe box, and durable rubber sole, all wrapped in a seamless, all-black aesthetic from top to bottom. This release also taps into a broader resurgence of patent leather in sneaker culture, nodding to early 2000s Air Force 1 colourways while echoing the legacy of icons like the Air Jordan 11, which famously introduced patent leather to performance footwear. Release Info:Set to drop during the summer season via Nike and select retailers for $125, the Nike Air Force 1 Low ‘Black Patent’ proves that even the boldest classics can clean up nicely. In other Nike-related news: Division Street x Nike Air Max 95 Pack Brings Oregon’s Forests To Life Nike Makes a Bold Statement with the Air Force 1 Low ‘Black Patent’ HOW TO KEEP YOUR SNEAKERS FRESH WITH FOAM MINI From boarding flights, catching rays, work commutes and days out, your life is constantly on the go, and so are your sneakers.  That’s why we’ve created foam mini – the ultimate on-the-go cleaner to keep your grails fresh and clean, no matter where life takes you.  In this tutorial, we show you how to effectively clean your sneakers with Foam Mini in 4 simple steps.  Step 1: Brush Off Any Loose Dirt and Debris From The Sneaker.  By removing any unwanted dirt before the foaming process, you will be reducing the amount of stray dirt building up on your sneakers as you clean them. This will make your cleans more efficient and ensure that you achieve that box-fresh look with every use.  Step 2: Unlock The Foam By Twisting The Bottom And Squeezing The Foam Out.  Twist the bottom of the bottle to the left and press down firmly to release the foam. Pump as many times as needed to cover the affected area of your sneaker.   Step 3: Apply The Foam And Brush Thoroughly.  Once the foam has been applied, use the brush to work the foam in circular motions.   Step 4: Use The Microfibre Cloth To Wipe Off The Dirt   No dry time needed, just wipe and you're ready to go. Next up on Crep Daily: How to Lace Your Nike Air Force 1s With Rope Laces: The Ultimate Guide How To Keep Your Sneakers Fresh With Foam Mini DIVISION STREET X NIKE AIR MAX 95 PACK BRINGS OREGON’S FORESTS TO LIFE The Division Street x Nike partnership returns with one of its most compelling projects yet, delivering a nature-infused take on the legendary Nike Air Max 95 just in time for Air Max Month 2026. Introduction:Named the ‘Lumber Yard’ and ‘The Woods’, this two-pack arrives under the Ducks of a Feather (DOAF) banner, blending sport heritage with the rich landscapes of Oregon. While past Oregon Ducks collaborations leaned heavily on bold green-and-yellow palettes, this collection shifts focus to storytelling, specifically the dense forests of the Pacific Northwest and the iconic Matthew Knight Arena court. Designed by Tinker Hatfield, the arena’s ‘Deep in the Woods’ court pays tribute to the ‘Tall Firs’, the 1938–39 Oregon Ducks team that claimed the first-ever NCAA basketball championship. That legacy is woven directly into both Air Max 95 colourways, translating hardwood storytelling into textured, wearable design. Design Details:The ‘Lumber Yard’ edition stands out with layered suede uppers in rich brown tones, detailed with woodgrain textures that mimic freshly cut timber. From wooden hangtags to subtle burnt-style branding, every element reinforces the forestry theme while staying true to the Air Max 95’s anatomy-inspired DNA. Meanwhile, ‘The Woods’ takes a more organic route. Mossy green hues dominate the hairy suede upper, reflecting the plant life that thrives across Oregon’s landscape. Neon green accents on the eyelets, Swoosh, and outsole inject a flash of classic Air Max energy, balancing heritage with modern edge. Release Info: Both pairs will first release at Flight Club locations in New York, Los Angeles, and Miami on March 21, before a wider launch via GOAT on March 26 (Air Max Day), retailing at $250. Blending storytelling, texture, and cultural heritage, the Division Street x Nike Air Max 95 pack proves that great design isn’t just seen, it's experienced. In other sneaker-related news, Air Jordan 5 ‘Halloween’ Adds A Spooky Twist To 2026 Division Street x Nike Air Max 95 Pack Brings Oregon’s Forests To Life
