The Nike Air Max 95 OG ‘Big Bubble Premium Comet’ Returns in 2026

Sergio Lozano’s iconic Nike Air Max 95 is ageing like fine wine.

Introduction:

As the silhouette turns 30 in 2025, Nike are going all-out with the celebrations, from OG retros to buzzy collabs and even a return to the legendary ‘big bubble’ tooling. One of the most anticipated drops extending the party into 2026? The long-awaited comeback of the Nike Air Max 95 OG ‘Big Bubble Premium Comet’.

First introduced in 1995, the ‘Comet’ was one of the original colorways that helped define the AM95’s rebellious DNA. While not as instantly recognizable as the ‘Neon’, it’s a cult favourite among Air Max heads and for good reason.

Design Details:

Its inverted gradient color scheme is a masterclass in subtle aggression: black fades into dark grey, light grey, then crisp white, flowing through the suede panels like a visual crescendo. Meanwhile, bold ‘Comet Red’ accents on the lace loops, tongue branding, Swoosh, and visible Air units inject just the right dose of punch.

The upcoming 2026 retro is rumored to stay true to the OG, complete with white mesh uppers, a classic foam midsole, and those all-important red ‘big bubble’ Air units, which may or may not feature the nostalgic ‘25 PSI’ callout. While the Comet has made rare appearances over the decades (in 2003 and 2010), this will be its first return in full OG glory since 1995.

Release Info:

Set to drop in Summer 2026, the Air Max 95 OG ‘Comet’ Big Bubble Premium will retail for $200 USD and release via Nike and select retailers. Whether you're a seasoned collector or new to the Air Max family, this is a must-cop for any serious sneaker rotation.
