After LeBron scored a record-breaking 40,000 points this month, we’re taking a shot at capturing your hearts by revealing our favourite on-court sneaker moments from King James.
From NBA All-Star games to seasonal hardwood favourites, we uncover it all, looking at some of Lebron’s most revered NBA sneaker moments of all time.
Kith x Nike LeBron 15
Averaging 27.5 points, 9.1 assists and 8.6 rebounds, 2018 was yet another successful year etched into the LeBron scorebooks, and just like any other MVP, LeBron’s creative sneaker stint with New York Fashion label Kith was more than fit for a king.
In fact, this grail first landed on his feet during the 2018 NBA All-Star Games, where the LA Lakers prodigy was crowned All-Star MVP - this would be his third successful win in his 21-season career.
Design-wise, the Kith x Nike LeBron closes the show with its performance-induced battle-knit sculpt, while stealthy tones of black provide a backdrop for its ‘Rose Gold’ and floral embroidered sidewalls.
Rope-style laces are paired with an adjustable zip that carries its way to the throat of this high-rise for easy customization. Groundwork-wise, full-length Zoom cushioning offers optimal comfort, while below, traction-induced outsoles allow for sudden changes and transitions on the hardwoods.

Nike LeBron 17 ‘Bred'
Just before COVID-19 put its breaks on the NBA Games, LeBron had time to showcase another one of his show stoppers - that’s right- it was the Nike LeBron 17 ‘Bred’ that he wore during a game against the Milwaukee Bucks. Yielding in yet another glorious win for the LA Lakers dynasty with a 113-103 point lead and with another 37 points added to his performance roster - we say that all this camaraderie is down to the shoes.
Summoned in a rather conventional black and red (Bred) color scheme, the fit rocks an all-black knitposite construction with overlays of nubuck and textured mesh making up most of the fit's entirety. Swooshing arrives in pops of red matching the eyelets and LeBron branding inscribed to the heel and tongue. Underfoot, a React cushioning system in the forefoot works in tandem with the Max Air Unit in the heel to offer cloud-like comfort throughout.

Nike LeBron 13 ‘BHM’
For many individuals within the black community, Black History Month (BHM) is a time when they can celebrate the prosperity and true resilience of some of the most prolific figures in Black History. With great responsibility comes even better commemoration and for BHM, James pulled off the ultimate homage to Martin Luther King Day through his debut of the LeBron ‘BHM’ ensemble.
Despite losing against the Golden State Warriors in an unfortunate 132-98 point loss, LeBron scored the vibe check with the Kente printed LeBron 13s, which offered a decorative feel to its muted black base. Branding accents accompany the toe box, and heel, while responsive cushioning is bedded in the midsole to improve mobility and flexibility on the court. Below sits an icy blue outsole for a traction-enhancing finish to this epic design.

Nike LeBron 20 ‘Stocking Stuffer’
For those who tune into the NBA Christmas games, you’ll know that it's the holy grail for b-ball enthusiasts across the globe. With that being said, LeBron never misses with his traditional Holiday sneaker releases and the LeBron 20 ‘Christmas’ was another spectacle we got to witness on the courts.
Previewed at his 17th appearance at the Christmas game, this vibrant fit landed in a knitted construction, with vibrant touches of green and red forming the uppers’ entirety. Dual-layered Swooshes accompany the sidewalls, and additional branding cues dress the heels - adding a slice of brand nostalgia. A Patterned outsole lies beneath, enhancing traction with every step.
