Crep Protect Guide: How to Clean Your Nike Vomero 5s

We’re officially in the Dad era of sneakers, and that only means one thing: your medium-ugly shoes will need a cleaning resurgence very soon. 

With wet and muddy conditions wreaking havoc on your sneakers, at Crep, we’ve got expert tips to keep them looking as fresh as when you first bought them. 

In this tutorial, we’re going to use the Vomero 5s as an example so we can show you how to achieve box-fresh sneakers from the first use with our signature sneaker cleaning kit:  Crep Protect Cure.

Step 1: Open Up Your Crep Protect Cure Kit

Inside, you’ll discover core cleaning items including the 100ml Cure Solution, Premium Cleaning Brush and a Microfibre Cloth that will help you effectively remove dirt and stains.

 Step 2: Brush Away Loose Dirt With The Premium Cleaning Brush

To make the cleaning process easier to tackle, brush the loose dirt and debris off your sneakers.

Step 3:  Pour Water Into A Bowl/Container 

Ensure this water is lukewarm, as when it is mixed with our sneaker cleaning solution, it’ll make it easier to break down tougher dirt and stains.

Step 4: Apply A Few Drops Of Cure Solution To The Brush & Dip It Into Water 

When mixed with water, 2-3 drops of this power-packed cleaning formula should be enough to clean one shoe. If needed, apply more solution throughout the cleaning process until the desired results are achieved. 

Step 5: Now You’re Ready To Clean Your Vomero 5s

Work the solution into the sneaker, starting with the uppers ( toe cap to heel), and then moving down to the outsoles. Scrub in circular motions until all dirt is removed. Make sure you take extra care with mesh, suede and nubuck materials, as oversaturating the material with water can damage the sneaker material.     

Step 6: Use The Microfibre Cloth Provided To Aid Your Cleans 

This process is important to remove excess moisture throughout the cleaning process. Once your Vomero 5s are fully cleaned, allow them to air dry in a well-ventilated room overnight.
