Few silhouettes tap into nostalgia quite like the Air Jordan 4, a model that continues to be Jordan Brand’s go-to canvas for storytelling. Its latest addition, the ‘Air Jordan 4 ‘Flight Club’, is next to follow suit.

Introduction:
Before the queue fiascos and online raffling that boasts today’s sneaker climate, the early 80s welcomed a different way to connect with the most elite Jordan community, A.K.A., The Flight Club.
The Flight Club was a fan membership that allowed Michael Jordan’s fan base to have their first-ever glimpse into exclusive posters, newsletters and behind-the-scenes content from the brand and their most lucrative athlete.

Design Details:
For this release, Jordan Brand has dived into this unfamiliar cornerstone of Michael Jordan’s fandom, and it's all in the details.
Soft sail hues dress the leather upper, keeping things clean and vintage-inspired. Stealthy hints of black complement the winged eyelets, lower quarters and the ‘Nike Air’ inscribed heel. Branding offers an extra stamp of brand heritage on the tongue, rounding off a design that is nostalgic as much as it is modern.

The pre-social media ‘Flight Club’ and its affiliation with the Air Jordan 4 may also seem like a linear choice, with the AJ4 also making its debut in 1989. The pairing resembles a physical reference to the love of performance and sneakers; a precursor of what sneaker culture would be many years later.
Release Info:
The Air Jordan 4 ‘Flight Club’ is due to drop on January 17th, 2026, at Nike SNKRS and selected retailers, priced $220. Don’t miss your chance to snag a pair; these are almost to fly off the shelves.
