Air Jordan 3 ‘True Blue’ Makes a Statement in 2026

One of the most beloved Air Jordan 3 colorways is returning from the Nike archives. According to trusted insiders @zsneakerheadz and Sneaker Files, the Air Jordan 3 ‘True Blue’ will make its long-awaited comeback in Fall 2026, marking the first time this fan-favorite has been reissued in a decade.

First introduced in 1988, the ‘True Blue’ AJ3 quickly became a fan favorite despite Michael Jordan never lacing them up in an official NBA game. 

That didn’t stop collectors from ranking the colorway just behind iconic heavyweights like the ‘Black Cement’ and ‘White Cement’ editions. Jordan did, however, sport the ‘True Blues’ during a memorable NBA All-Stars vs. Team USA exhibition game in 1988, a subtle but legendary moment for the silhouette.

Design Details:

The last time we saw the True Blue 3s was back in 2016, when Jordan Brand thrilled purists by restoring the original ‘Nike Air’ heel branding in place of the Jumpman logo that had been used on earlier retros. That decision set a new standard for how Jordan Brand approached its heritage releases, and there’s a strong chance the 2026 drop will follow suit.

While no official photos or SKU details have surfaced yet, the buzz is already real. This will be the fifth retro for the ‘True Blue’ (following its returns in 2001, 2009, 2011, and 2016), proving just how timeless this colorway is. Its bold mix of white leather, elephant print, and striking blue accents remains one of the cleanest looks the Air Jordan 3 has ever had.
