This partnership between A Ma Manière (AMM), led by James Whitner, and Jordan Brand has seamlessly merged the realms of sneaker culture and social consciousness. With two captivating colourways, ‘Dusk’ and ‘Dawn’, this collection transcends footwear, weaving a narrative deeply rooted in the trials and tribulations faced by the Black community.

The ‘Still We Rise’ campaign behind this collaboration draws inspiration from the powerful words of literary icons James Baldwin and Maya Angelou. It centres on the celebration of the Black community’s multifaceted strength and power. Through the fusion of art, fashion, and social commentary, AMM and Jordan Brand convey a message that resonates with individuals from all walks of life.

The ‘Dusk’ colourway on the Air Jordan 5 showcases a rich blend of black and burgundy across a luxurious suede upper. This choice of colours represents the resilience of the black community, symbolising how they’ve overcome challenges and emerged stronger. The black suede signifies the depth of their struggle, while the burgundy accents bring a touch of regal sophistication.

On the other hand, the ‘Dawn’ colourway takes on a more serene palette, combining grey and blue. Grey, in this context, represents the perseverance and resilience of the black community, while blue represents hope and unity. It’s a nod to the morning after the darkest night, reminding us that even in the face of adversity, there’s always a new day on the horizon.

Both sneakers in the collection feature AMM co-branding at the tongue and outsole. This branding reinforces the collaboration’s authenticity and commitment to the cause. Additionally, a special monogram pattern adorns the classic TPU cage, adding a layer of exclusivity to these already iconic shoes.

The release of the ‘Dawn' colourway is expected on November 17, with each pair priced at $225. Meanwhile, the ‘Dusk’ release date remains under wraps, with more details to be announced soon.
