Top 5 Valentine's Day Sneaker

Happy Valentine’s Day sneakerheads!

One thing that we all share admiration for is what we wear on our feet and let’s be honest - over the years our favourite brands have continued to pull it out of the bag with some exceptional  V-Day releases - and we ain't complaining.

Whether you’re a fancy dater or sole mater, we’ve handpicked some of our favourite Valentine’s Day fits so you don’t have to!

1. StrangeLove x Nike SB Dunk Low (2020)

Don’t make these dunks a stranger to your rotation

Strangelove x Nike SB Dunk Low

In 2020, Nike welcomed the season of love with a fluffy and wholesome remake of Sandy Bodecker’s signature Nike Dunk Low design. The skater’s dream arrives in a lush fusion
of white crushed velvet and soft pink suede overlays, accented with a bold red velvet Swoosh, which makes this shoe a standout.

The unique 'Heart Skull' graphic by Sean Cliver adorns each heel, blending edgy artistry with the spirit of love. Bright melon and gym red hits, plus playful heart graphics on the sole, add the perfect Valentine's touch.

2. Joe Freshgoods x New Balance 992 ‘Pink’ ( No Emotions Are Emotions) (2020)'

Chicago-born designer Joe Freshgoods has had quite a vibrant stint with the NB family over the years and by 2020, he became the lover boy of all designs with the ‘No Emotions Are Emotions’ pack. With one revered design coming out of the woodworks to make a successful appearance on our lineup and it's the ‘pink’ addition that holds a special place in our hearts.

This one-of-a-kind sneaker features luxurious pigskin suede and breathable mesh in a vibrant palette of red, pink, and beige, creating an aesthetic that's as visually captivating as it is high-quality. The design is accented with a monochromatic midsole that complements without overshadowing the sneaker's rich colours. Signature "DBM" branding on the tongue adds a personal touch from Joe Freshgoods, marking the collaboration's exclusivity.

The only things you should be bagging up is your sneakers - not your emotions. Give our signature Sneaker Bag a go.

3. Nike Air More Uptempo 96 ‘Valentine’s Day’ (2023)

Nike Air More Uptempo 'Valentine's Day'

Chocolates anyone?

For this 2023 release, Nike made V-Day a little more flavoursome. Enshrining our favourite Uptempo model in a rich brown/ maroon coating. While not as overtly themed as previous years' designs, this iteration incorporates tasteful hints of pink that weave through the iconic bubble midsole and stand out on the pink outsole, highlighted by a maroon mini-Swoosh.

The sneaker's defining feature, the oversized ‘AIR’ branding on the sidewalls, is elegantly outlined in the same maroon hue, harmonising with the burgundy tones that dominate the rest of the upper.

This unique blend of colours adds a sophisticated yet romantic touch to the classic silhouette, making the Nike Air More Uptempo a perfect pick for sneaker lovers looking to celebrate love with style.

They say love isn’t a game and the Jordan brand truly wasn’t playing when they released the Air Jordan 5 ‘Valentine’s Day’ addition.
Marrying court function with heartfelt aesthetics, This sneaker showcases a striking ‘Gym Red’ leather upper, beautifully contrasted with 'Ion Pink' accents adorning the laces, panels, and midsole.

The sneaker's iconic shark teeth motif is reimagined with red and pink speckled accents, enhancing the midsole with a dynamic touch. Adding a unique element, a fusion heart basketball emblem graces the lateral heel, encapsulating the 'Love of the Game' with an accompanying phrase displayed on the heel counter.

Not for the half-hearted

adidas Superstar 'Valentine's Day'

We’re taking this countdown back a few years to celebrate the complete mastery that is the 2018 adidas Valentine’s Day Superstar release. At Crep we’re a huge fan of this one due to its simple yet effective approach to this season of love.

Dressed in a pristine White leather upper, this festive iteration captures the essence of the holiday with a striking red heart graphic adorning the medial side panels. When paired, these graphics form a complete heart, symbolising unity and love.

The design is refined with subtle perforations on the side panels for breathability, while tonal adidas branding on the tongue and heel adds a sophisticated touch. Completing the look is the Superstar's signature rubber shell toe, presented in matching white, ensuring this sneaker remains true to its classic roots with a romantic twist.
